NSCA

The Pikes Miners are fortunate to have a long standing relationship with the National Strength and Conditioning Association. Each Miners team utilizes the NSCA’s Human Performance Center as its base for off ice strength and conditioning training and the gains that our players make throughout the course of the year are tremendous.

All programs at the NSCAHPC are catered to the specific needs of our teams and also the individual needs of our players. The programs are designed to maximize the on ice performance of our players by concentrating on explosive power, speed, flexibility, and injury prevention. Because of our involvement with the NSCA our players have direct access to doctors, rehab specialists, x-rays, MRI’s, should an injury occur.

The hockey specific strength and conditioning training that Miners players receive is second to none. The NSCA is the world’s leading authority on strength and conditioning and has been for nearly 30 years.
